Preparing Assets and Domains for Your Custom Web Design
To ensure our design team can deliver your custom website on schedule, we require a few key assets from you before development begins. This guide serves as a checklist of the materials and access credentials you will need to provide to your Project Manager.
1. Brand Identity Assets
High-quality brand assets dictate the color scheme and overall feel of the website mockups we create for you.
- Vector Logos: Please provide your company logo in vector format (SVG, EPS, or AI). If vector formats are unavailable, provide the highest resolution PNG with a transparent background.
- Brand Guidelines: If your company has a brand book detailing exact HEX color codes or specific typography, please upload this document to your project portal.
2. Written Copy and Photography
Unless you have purchased an add-on Copywriting or Stock Photography package, you are responsible for providing the raw text and images for the website.
- Text Documents: Submit your copy in a single Word Document or Google Doc, clearly separated by page (e.g., "Home Page Text", "About Us Text").
- Team Photos & Portfolios: Ensure all photographs of your team or previous work are high resolution (at least 1920x1080 pixels). Do not compress them yourself; our engineering team will handle optimization.
3. Domain Name Registration and Access
To launch the website once it is approved, we need to map the finished product to your official `.com` (or other extension).
- Registered with Domzivo: If you purchased your domain through us, no action is required. We will handle all DNS configurations automatically during the handover phase.
- External Registrars: If your domain is registered elsewhere (like GoDaddy or Namecheap), you must either provide us with delegated access to your registrar account or be available on Launch Day to manually point your DNS A Records to our server IP addresses.
Asset Portal: Upon purchasing a web design package, your Project Manager will send you a secure link to a cloud storage folder. Please upload all requested files to this central location to avoid disorganized email attachments.
